I often like designing clothes, or even drawing outfits that I own or would like to buy. In 2014, I decided to stage a photoshoot inspired by a Sailor shirt I had bought. I used wrapping paper stuck to the wall with bluetac for the backdrop and set everything up next to a window to utilise the soft morning light, which gave everything a clean, fresh glow. I set up my tripod and camera on auto-timer, and took the photos. Because I didn’t have enough wrapping paper to cover the entire surface area, I used Photoshop to help fill in the background and lighten the images. I wasn’t very good at editing photos in post at the time, so I prefered to pay more attention during the actual shoot. Since that time, my photo taking skills have gotten better. However, this is an example of how to take photos on a budget using the resources that you have.
